Riding in a hot air balloon

Would you like to ride in a hot air balloon? I wouldn’t. Being so high up in the air, it is possible to fall in the ocean and drown. or you can fall of onto the street get ran over, by a truck and get squished to death and die. That’s why I don’t want to ride in a hot air balloon.

How to play basketball

To play basketball, you need to know how to identify the different lines. There is the sideline, key line, three point line, half court line and baseline. James Naismith invented basketball. He was a physical educator. You can bend your knees to do the triple threat. You can pass, shoot or dribble.

Favorite desert

What is your favorite desert? Mine is mint chocolate chip ice cream. It fells very cold on your tongue and makes you shiver. It is a green icy treat that you just can’t resist. That is why my favorite desert is ice cream. What is yours?

Favorite Fridge food

My favorite fridge food is an apple because when you sink your teeth into it, all the apple juice inside it comes out. An apple is red, and my second favorite color. when you cut it in a certain way, the seeds form the shape of a star. “Cool, isn’t it?” It is fun to hear the crunch sound when you bite it. That is why I like apples. What about you?

Important Discoverys

I think Sir Issac Newton’s 3 laws motion is the most important discovery ever made.  It describes how an object at rest stays at rest until a force acts upon it. It also says an object in motion stays in motion until a force acts upon it. A rocket is a good example for the third law that the fire is proppeling the rocket up. That’s why I think the three laws of motion is the most inportant discovery. What about you?

Poor and Good Choices that Omri made in the the Indian in the Cupboard

Summary:

When they go to school the Indian named Little Bear pokes Omri because Omri is just keeping him in his pocket. Patrick shows the headmaster Little Bear and Omri takes back both of them. They go to art and Patrick’s cowboy named Boone draws a picture and the art teacher asks Omri to show her his picture. The art teacher gets amazed and Omri gets excused. He made a promise with Little Bear to by him a Indian woman and gets one and the owner asks Omri to give back Boone and Little Bear and Patrick tells the owner that they’re his. Little Bear shoots Boone with an arrow bot Boone does not die. They lose the key and thy find it under the floorboards. They give the key to Omri’s mom.

Character Evaluation:

When Omri asks Patrick for both of the little men back, I think it was a good choice because Little Bear and Boone didn’t seem as safe with Patrick as they would with Omri. But I think Little Bears choice of shooting Boone with an arrow was a very poor choice because what harm did Boone do to Little Bear? Also Patrick’s choice in showing the headmaster was not so good because it would have better to just keep them a secret. Little Bear’s choice in poking Omri was poor because it was his own fault he was kept in a pocket.

Similaritys beetween me and Omri in the Book the Indian in the Cupboard

Summary:

Omri let the Indian ride his horse outdoors and then he has to go to school. He also lets him make a longhouse. After he comes home from school, his brothers are looking at the long house in awe. Omri asks them to get out of his room. Then he shows Patrick the Indian. Patrick said  ” Well what are you waiting for? Let’s make armies of them!” Omri disagrees with the idea. Patrick  makes his own living cowboy. The cowboy shoots Patrick with his gun. They find a little piece of metal bullet under Patrick’s fingernail. After that, Patrick decided to take the cowboy to school.

Connection:

Me and Omri have similaritys because if I had a living Indian, I would definitely try to keep it a secret. I also wouldn’t want someone in my room when I was showing a person a little Indian. I wouldn’t agree to the to the idea of having armies of toy men all over my room. I also wouldn’t want to take the Indian to school.

The House on Maple Street

The House on Maple Street

By Sean

While the family was out for dinner, a criminal put rockets under the house. He tip-toed behind a bush and waited quietly for the family to come home. When the family came home, the criminal became very excited. He punched a button on a remote. It was a perfect lift-off. The parents were screaming and yelling as the house took off.

The criminal heard the parents screaming and yelling to each other, “Who do you think did this?” the mom asked. “I don’t know!” the dad answered. “Let’s call the police!” said the mom. The dad searched his pocket for his phone. “I must have forgotten my iPhone at the restaurant” the dad said.

The children ran up to the attic because they were frightened that the person that put the rockets under the house was inside. A little later, while hiding in the attic, the kids spotted a remote control that said “rocket controls.” They rushed down the stairs to get their parents. The mom said, “There’s a button that says parachute” and they hit it. The house landed safely back where it belonged.

The neighbors called the police when they saw the house blasting off. The criminal was just wandering around the block seeing what other trouble he could make. He knew he was in trouble when he saw the flashing red and blue lights. ”I’m innocent, I’m innocent” he screamed as the police drove him away to jail. Everybody in the family was happy because their life was back to normal.
